A SECOND HALF OF A QUESTION
I am a writer
– too fragile to stand in light.
I am a fighter
– too scared to lift a sword.
I am a singer
– with a voice that easily cracks.
I am a peacemaker
– too scared to end the war.
And I am tired…
Tired
Drained
And beaten up
And the only thing that looks good to me,
Is to close my eyes,
lay down and fall asleep,
Leaning toward the second half of the question:
To be? or Not to be?
