POEMS ABOUT COPING WITH PAIN AND CHRONIC PAIN, SADNESS AND DEPRESSION
My heart goes out to all of you who suffer from chronic pain. I know there are no words that can accurately describe what you are going through. I started this chapter because I want to honor you, and I want you to know that in my mind, you are all great heroes. Despite all your pain, you still get up, you still face life, and you still somehow find the strength to help others. I wrote the poem below after a serious accident. I had a couple of surgeries, and I was in intense pain. Chronic pain is horrible, yet it teaches us to approach life with a different perspective.
FROM THIS PERSPECTIVE explores how pain can alter our view of the world. The poet reflects on previously unnoticed details and reevaluates their worries, finding new significance in them. This poem helps readers find solace and insight during difficult times, encouraging a shift in perspective that leads to unexpected hope and understanding.

STILLNESS, STAY, by Lisa A. Moore, is about seeking peace and healing in moments of stillness. The speaker longs to be enveloped by the comforting depths of tranquility, finding reassurance in its quiet whisper that "it will be alright." This poem captures the desire to linger in peacefulness, allowing it to infuse and soothe the aching heart before returning to the demands of life.
