POEMS ABOUT SADNESS > In the Sadness of My Soul
IN THE SADNESS OF MY SOUL
In the sadness of my soul
little child lays asleep
you can hear her sweet breath
you can see her wounds, so deep
she is distant, yet so close
in my soul, yet so alone
she no longer cries for help
all her tears are long gone
like an angel with no wings
like a river without flow
little a child without a dream
like a star without a glow
once so loved and so admired
once a hero above all
wounded now, too week to talk
she lays lifeless in my soul
