POEMS ABOUT ENVY > Lady Lila— Song Lyrics
LADY LILA
Little funny Lady Lila lives inside a little house. She is witty. She is pretty and she has a little mouse. Little funny Lady Lila doesn’t want to play at all. “I don’t like my purple kitchen and my house is just too small!” REF. Lady Lila, Lady Lila, are you happy or are you sad? “If only I could live up high happy, happy would be I. But until then I’ll stay upset ‘cause my kitchen should be... red.” On the tree right in her garden, there’s a squirrel that likes to run. Lady Lila grabs her suitcase, “Oh, it looks like so much fun!” Little funny Lady Lila climbing up her good ‘ole tree, “I am going to live right here. It’s a perfect place for me!” REF. Lady Lila, Lady Lila... Little funny Lady Lila looked into the starry sky. Suddenly she saw the moon and an eagle flying by. Little funny Lady Lila called the eagle to come soon. “Where’re we going?” asked the eagle. “To my new house on the moon!” REF. Lady Lila, Lady Lila... Little funny Lady Lila on the moon is feeling blue. She is missing her old mouse and her purple kitchen too.” Lady Lila bit her lip and with a desperate look she sighed, “If only I could spend a while there, happy, happy would be I.” REF. Lady Lila, Lady Lila are you happy or are you sad? “If only I could go back home now happy, happy would be I. But until then I’ll stay upset. See my kitchen should be... See my kitchen should be... red. Oops, did I just say red?” Yes, you did. “Purple! That’s what I meant.” Music and Lyrics by Liliana Kohann ©1998 Artpeace Publishing |
