POEMS ABOUT DOUBT > Only One Thing
ONLY ONE THING
Whatever You want me to say,
I say.
Whatever You want me to see,
I see.
Whatever You want me to do,
I do.
Wherever You want me to be,
I’ll be.
Whenever I whisper a prayer to you,
I’m still.
Whenever You call me, whatever I’m doing,
I cease.
Whatever You want me to give,
I give.
Only one thing am I asking of You,
God, please.
You don’t have to take from me
my pain,
my sleepless nights, the noise inside,
so loud.
The only one thing I want You
to take,
the only thing,
is the doubt.
