POEMS ABOUT TRAUMA BONDING & STOCHOLM SYNDROME > Stockholm Syndrome
STOCKHOLM SYNDROME
I fade away, so you can be seen. I become lesser, so you can be more. I lose my value, so you can find yours. I put myself down, so you can soar. I become weaker, so you can be strong. I live with fear, so you can be free. I hide away, so you can shine. I lose myself, so you can BE. The trauma you caused me, I have forgiven. I was innocent, but I took the blame. I’ve learned to protect you, and never speak up. I took on my shoulders your crime and my shame. And I know mentally that it’s not OK. I should not be silent, so you can move on. But I can’t tell on you. They will blame me. You trained me to love you. And abuse goes on. LILIANA KOHANN ©Artpeace Publishing 2023 (Feb 24th) |
