YOU LEFT SO SOON
And you left so soon, my dear beloved.
Surely, our Father needed you up high.
You left your sweet garden and hearts weighed with sorrow.
Hard to hold back tears, as we don't know why.
Oh, how much we miss you—your smile, caring nature,
Your kind, giving heart, a genuine embrace.
We long for your warmth and your love so pure,
Your welcoming arms in your tender place.
It’s hard to understand and accept our loss,
That you are no longer on this earthly plane.
But with my eyes closed, I began to see you,
Sitting at the table where angels remain.
You seem to be resting. I see a light smile.
Now I hear your words, floating from above,
“Don’t worry for me. Live your life and remember,
That by God and by me—you are always loved.”
But aren’t you missing your sweet earthly garden?
Now flowers grow only on your grave, we fear.
But you reply, with your usual calm voice,
“Oh, but now I’m tending a New Garden here.”
